Service
A security gate is a system, not a fixture
We build estate and commercial security gates as a complete assembly — leaf, post, operator, safety devices, and access logic — engineered together so nothing is left for another trade to guess at.
Most gate failures we are called to repair were installed correctly in isolation and incorrectly as a system. The post was undersized for the leaf. The operator was matched to the gate but not to the duty cycle. The safety edge was wired to satisfy an inspector rather than a person.
Scope of work
One contractor, the entire assembly
Every line below is ours. Nothing is subcontracted, so there are no seams between trades for a failure to hide in.
Structure and leaf
Posts and footings sized to the leaf and the wind load, not to the crew’s last job. Swing, slide, cantilever, and vertical pivot.
Operator and duty cycle
Matched to how often the gate actually moves. A residential operator on a shared driveway is a service call waiting to be scheduled.
Safety devices to UL 325
Photo-eyes, safety edges, and loops correctly matched and wired to the operator, then tested against a person rather than a clipboard.
Entry and egress logic
Keypads, intercoms, credentials, and the deliberate decision of what fails locked and what fails open when power goes.
Method
What we settle before anything is ordered
01
The approach, not the opening
Grade, turning radius, sight lines, and how a vehicle actually arrives. A gate that forces a three-point turn onto a blind road has created a new hazard.
02
Power, backup, and failure state
Hardwired where we can trench, solar where we cannot, battery backup either way. Then we decide together what the gate does during an outage.
03
Permits, code, and the inspection
Pulled under our licence, CSLB #1042768. Fire access, emergency override, and pedestrian egress resolved on paper before a post goes in the ground.
Next Step
Talk through a new gate
Send us the property and the problem. We will tell you what the opening actually needs, including when a repair beats a replacement.
